1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to SMEnode Academy. By accessing or using our website, mobile applications, or any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SMEnode Academy. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use our services.
You must be at least 18 years old to use our services
You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Corporate users must have authority to bind their organization
2. User Accounts
To access our courses and services, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Accurate Information: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Account Security: You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
One Account Per Person: Each user may only maintain one active account
No Sharing: Account credentials must not be shared with others
Notification: You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized access
Important: Sharing your account or allowing others to access your courses is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination without refund.
3. Course Access & Content
Upon successful enrollment and payment, you will receive access to course materials according to the terms of your purchase.
Access Period: Course access duration varies by program (lifetime access for most courses unless otherwise stated)
Live Sessions: Live training sessions are scheduled as announced; recordings may be provided
Lab Access: Lab environments are provided as described in course details with specified time limits
Updates: Course content may be updated; you will receive access to updates at no additional cost
Prerequisites: You are responsible for meeting course prerequisites before enrollment
4. Payments & Refunds
All prices are displayed in USD unless otherwise indicated. We accept major credit cards, PayPal, and other payment methods as displayed at checkout.
Payment Terms
Full payment is required before course access is granted
Payment plans are available for select courses (subject to approval)
Prices may change without notice; enrolled students are not affected
Promotional discounts cannot be applied retroactivelyPromotional discounts cannot be applied retroactively
Refund Policy
14-Day Guarantee: Full refund within 14 days of purchase if less than 20% of content accessed
Technical Issues: Full refund if persistent technical issues prevent course access
Pass Guarantee: Free course retake if you complete all requirements and don't pass your certification exam
Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days
No Refunds: Refunds are not available after 14 days, for courses more than 20% completed, or for students who violate these terms.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on SMEnode Academy, including courses, videos, materials, logos, and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to SMEnode Academy and protected by intellectual property laws.
Personal Use Only: Course materials are licensed for your personal, non-commercial use
No Distribution: You may not copy, distribute, or share course content with others
No Recording: Recording live sessions without permission is prohibited
No Modification: You may not modify, adapt, or create derivative works
Trademarks: Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, and other vendor names are trademarks of their respective owners
Copyright Infringement: Unauthorized distribution of course materials may result in legal action and damages of up to $150,000 per infringement under applicable copyright laws.
6. User Conduct
You agree to use our platform responsibly and in accordance with these terms. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
Sharing account credentials or course access with others
Using VPNs or proxies to circumvent geographic restrictions
Attempting to download or capture video content
Harassing instructors or other students
Posting inappropriate content in forums or chat
Attempting to hack or disrupt our systems
Using automated tools to access the platform
Misusing lab environments or consuming excessive resources
7. Certifications & Guarantees
SMEnode Academy provides training to prepare you for industry certification exams. Please understand the following:
Training Only: We provide training; certification exams are administered by vendors (Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, etc.)
No Guarantee: While we have high pass rates, we cannot guarantee you will pass certification exams
Pass Guarantee Terms: Our pass guarantee requires completion of all course materials, labs, and practice exams
Completion Certificates: Course completion certificates are issued by SMEnode Academy, not certification vendors
Exam Vouchers: If exam vouchers are included, they are subject to vendor terms and expiration dates
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SMEnode Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific course
We are not liable for any loss of data, income, or business opportunities
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
Technical issues may occasionally affect access; we will work to resolve them promptly
Third-party content and links are not our responsibility
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement under the following conditions:
By You: You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms
Immediate Termination: We reserve the right to terminate immediately for serious violations
Effect: Upon termination, your access to courses and materials will be revoked
No Refund: Termination for violation of terms does not entitle you to a refund
Account Suspension: We may suspend accounts pending investigation of potential terms violations. You will be notified and given an opportunity to respond.
